Our Baby Cashmere Tsuriami French Terry is made from 100% baby cashmere, the rarest and most luxurious grade of cashmere. Sourced exclusively from baby goats under one year old in Mongolia, each goat is gently combed only once during its first year, yielding just 30 grams of the softest fibers nature can offer. Compared to traditional cashmere, baby cashmere is noticeably finer, softer, and more delicate, making it exceptionally comfortable against the skin. This incredibly limited supply makes it not only precious, but uniquely soft, warm, and naturally breathable.

The fabric is Tsuriami knit in Wakayama, Japan, using antique circular hanging knitting machines that date back over a century. These traditional machines produce fabric at a painstakingly slow rate, just about one meter per hour. The result, however, is well worth the wait: a knit that echoes the softness of hand-made fabric, airy and springy, as though air itself were trapped within the loops of the yarn.

At 509 GSM (15oz per square yard), the fabric is undeniably heavyweight, yet it feels anything but. With a smooth outer face and a soft, looped interior that adds texture and comfort, true to classic French terry construction, it delivers a gentle, cloud-like warmth that only baby cashmere can offer.
