Suvin Gold is one of the rarest and most luxurious cottons in the world. It belongs to the ELS (Extra Long Staple) category, the highest tier of cotton fibers, prized for exceptional length, strength, and fineness.

The name Suvin comes from its origins: "Su" from Sujata, a premium cotton variety native to India, and "Vin" from St. Vincent, home of the legendary Sea Island cotton in St. Vincent. By combining these two elite cottons, Suvin achieves remarkable softness, durability, and a natural luster that few fibers can match.

Suvin Gold represents the absolute pinnacle of this cotton. Unlike standard Suvin, Suvin Gold is made from fibers collected during the first and second harvests of the season, when the cotton is at its longest and finest. These top-tier fibers are carefully separated and reserved, resulting in extremely limited annual production.

The cotton is ring-spun in Japan and knit in Wakayama on rare, century-old tsuriami circular knitting machines. These machines produce just one meter of fabric per hour, a slow, low-tension process that allows the yarn to retain its natural character. The result is a knit with exceptional softness, a velvety touch, beautiful drape, and a gentle natural give, all in a substantial yet refined 234 GSM (6.9 oz/yd²) weight.

The T-shirt features a modern athletic fit, a durable binder neck rib collar, and flat side seams sewn on vintage Union Special machines for comfort and longevity. The garment has been rinse washed to minimize shrinkage. Made in Japan.
